No Load Speed

The speeds quoted in the specifications are those at which the machine runs when it is running free (the speed of the tool with only the trigger squeezed) described as no load speeds.

When used under pressure these speeds may be reduced up to 30%.

Two Speed

This produces two different pre-stated speeds one high and one low, to cover a range of materials.

Some users choose the two speed drill because the gear box provides correct power for different size drills although less flexibility than variable speed.

Variable Speed

This is ideal for selecting exactly the right speed for the job to be done. Very slow for screwdriving, and a range of variable speeds for drilling different materials. Also useful when slow start up for a precise pin-point is necessary. These drills provide great flexibility over a wide range of speeds which can be pre-selected on a dial or controlled by finger pressure. (The harder the squeeze the faster the speed).
